With Bil Lepp!
This is a free event brought to us by Clark Akers!
Mr. Akers says…
My family and I are hosting a double header Storytelling afternoon on Saturday, September 17th that will feature Bil Lepp and Andy Offut-Irwin. Both Bil and Andy are well known, professional Storytellers who regularly delight audiences all over the country and especially at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Although Bil and Andy tell different kinds of stories, they both excel at using humor, imagination and remarkable talent to remind audiences that the shared experiences of childhood escapades, quirky relatives and old friends bind us together regardless of age, background or life experience.
We would love for you to join us from 4:00 until 6:00 on Saturday, September 17, at MBA (4001 Harding Road). Parking is easy and the entertainment will be great fun. As this is a very family friendly event, please bring your children (ages 6 and up tend to enjoy the stories the most), your grandchildren and your friends.
There is no cost to attend but we will accept donations (entirely voluntary) that will benefit the International Storytelling Center (ISC) in Jonesborough. The ISC hosts many school and adult programs that teach people how to learn and to use their own stories to bring peace, tolerance and understanding to their communities and to the world. Additionally, the ISC hosts the National Storytelling Festival the first full weekend of October in Jonesborough. At the Festival, the best Storytellers in the world entertain visitors with remarkable stories that range from hilarious to poignant to scary. The evening ghost stories, always told outside and well after dark, are the real thing and not for the faint of heart.
Let me know if you can come, and how many you will be, so we can plan for the food and drink.
It should be a fun afternoon, We look forward to seeing you…
Thanks, T. Clark
Andy says: pass your reservation on to me, and I will pass it on to T. Clark.
