Risk Assessment, Andy’s newest and eight album was released 6 October 2011, premiering at his performance for National Story Night in Jonesborough, Tennessee and then available during the National Storytelling Festival. It is the perfect mixture of his work for families, adults, children, and all the rest of us! Stories of Aunt Marguerite, Drucilla, Dr. Mary Francis, and a mysterious glowing phantasm at camp – powerful, heartwarming, hilarious stories, of life and love. Mostly hilarious! Friends’ favorite song, “Crickets in the Kudzu” recorded by popular request, and a special visit from a couple of clowns (Bil Lepp and Kevin Kling) to help raise funds for “Keep It!”, a program to provide library books for Ivory Park in South Africa. This may easily be Andy’s best work yet.
Andy’s seventh CD and Bonus DVD, Lip Service, release date 1 October 2010 is a musical album of a whole new caliber. Andy whistles. Andy whistles a lot. Andy sings. Andy’s previous CDs have won numerous Storytelling World awards, and two Just Plain Folks awards. After a lot of fan nagging, Andy is tickled to present this record featuring whistling and mouth-music on every track. The album includes multi-tracked a capella extravaganzas as diverse as “Low Rider” and “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring”, along with original songs and adventurous arrangements.
“Andy Offut Irwin immediately impressed us as the finest whistler we’ve ever heard, featured on his new CD.” ~ Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, multiple GRAMMY winners and GRAMMY nominees 14 consecutive years

Banana SeatAndy’s second release and first CD debuted 1995, Echo Lake Records. It is mostly music, and highlights Andy’s range of ability as an unequaled songwriter, singer, instrumentalist, whistler, humorist, and humanitarian. To many, the one beloved story he tacked on the end became the favorite: ”Johnny and Kenny lived in Nelson Heights…” and a storyteller was uncovered beneath all that musical talent. Needless to say, this album has been sold out as a CD for many years, but was re-released October 1, 2010 and first available at THE NATIONAL STORYTELLING FESTIVAL.
Andy’s first release, on cassette only, was released in 1990. All music, all wonderful, all sold out, no longer available in any format. It was an amazing first album, a perfect preview of things to come with the clever songwriting and ingenious turn of a phrase. Clamydomonas(sp?) was a release of Conscientious Fish Productions.
